Nice, but not perfect Update (1/5/2015): I’ve owned this charger for over four years and it still works as good as new. It’s my GOTO charger and has been a workhorse. Furthermore, I contacted the manufacturer asking if this charger re-charges ni-cad batteries also. The manufacturer replied quickly, saying that yes, the 9688 does handle ni-cads too.
